Terms of Service

1. Service Description

bgmatte provides AI background removal, including free in-browser local processing and paid HD cloud processing (for images and videos). The free and paid tiers differ in processing location, output specs, and limits; see each tool page for details.

2. Accounts

The free tier requires no registration. Paid features require an account; you must provide true and accurate registration information and keep your sign-in credentials safe. Losses resulting from leaked credentials are your responsibility.

3. Subscriptions and Credits

• •Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly; unused credits during a subscription period roll over;
• •After cancelling, remaining credits are kept for 6 months and expire if unused;
• •Credit packs are one-time purchases, valid for 6 months from purchase;
• •When credits are spent, the earliest-expiring credits are used first;
• •Credits are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

4. Payments

Payment information for subscriptions and credit purchases is securely processed by our payment provider; we do not directly store your full card details. Prices are as shown on the page at purchase, all in US dollars.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to content you upload. You warrant that you have the lawful right to use the content you upload and that it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property or other lawful rights.

bgmatte's website, brand, interface design, and underlying technology belong to us and may not be copied or used for commercial competition without permission.

6. Commercial Use of Outputs

Free tier outputs are limited to personal and non-commercial use.To use processed results for commercial projects (including but not limited to client delivery, advertising, and product sales), please use the paid tier.

Paid tier outputs may be used for commercial purposes.

7. Acceptable Use

When using the service, you must not:

• •Upload pornographic, violent, or otherwise inappropriate-for-public-distribution content;
• •Upload unlawful content or use the service for unlawful activity;
• •Upload content that incites hatred, discrimination, or harassment of others;
• •Upload content that infringes others' intellectual property, privacy, or other lawful rights;
• •Upload fraudulent or misleading content;
• •Interfere with normal service operation, including attacking servers or bulk scraping;
• •Circumvent free tier limits on duration, resolution, wait time, or similar in any way.

If you violate these rules, we may suspend or terminate your account, and amounts already paid will not be refunded.

8. Refund Policy

Digital services are generally non-refundable once delivered (credits received, subscription active). If the service is unusable for reasons attributable to us, please contact support@bgmatte.com and we will handle it case by case.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep the service stable and available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure or third parties.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the service. Our total liability to you is capped at the total amount you actually paid us in the past 12 months.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms, with material changes announced on the site. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms.
